HOW BLACK DIAMONDS- NEW YORK STARTED Our story began in 2013 while we were stationed in Okinawa, Japan, where we had the incredible privilege of serving the U.S. military community with our handcrafted creations and lively “tipsy paint” parties. These gatherings brought military spouses and active duty members together to laugh, sip a little (or sometimes a lot) of wine, and turn blank canvases into colorful works of art. Somewhere between the canvases and the conversations, a deeper inspiration began to take shape—creating jewelry that celebrates the bond between two people. What started as small, handcrafted pieces soon evolved into something more meaningful.
