What's With the Name HUNTEDFOX? Just like the adaptable and resourceful foxes found across the globe, we seek out indigenous textiles and breathe new life into them. Our name, HUNTEDFOX, reflects our commitment to renewal and the indomitable spirit that cannot be conquered by captivity or even a successful hunt. This mirrors the importance of handwoven textiles made by tribal women, with stories passed down from generation to generation. Our goal is to honor and emphasize the significance of these cultural narratives in the human experience through the limited collections and unique pieces we create. "attention and execution on detail is everything ..." Moana, the creator of HUNTEDFOX first started sewing as a young girl. A high school sewing teacher taught her technical basics and construction. Always one to work off book- she adjusted patterns nd made her own- starting her first small business reconstructing thrift store clothing, making dresses and small backpacks she sold to school mates. She had every intention to go into fashion. Life however, had other plans... We make every item by hand in our Los Angeles design studio, or in partnership with local, family-owned and operated companies, and we source our materials from a variety of makers that we encounter in our global travels. Our journey began in 2015 with a clear mission: to redefine the narrative of home decor by intertwining it with the rich tapestry of our heritage. As a 100% woman and minority-owned business, HUNTEDFOX represents a new wave of interior design - where every throw pillow, ottoman, and piece of custom leather furniture is not just an item, but a bridge connecting the past to the present, highlighting the artisan...in the in the end they represent your home.
