I was once a consultant for a cosmetic company, but I was not very good at selling. I used more products than I sold. At that time, I did not even know what shea butter was. After another day of reapplying lotion to my dry skin, I decided enough was enough. I have always been a creator at heart, so I researched ingredients that could truly nourish. In 2013 I discovered shea butter, and everything changed. I began blending natural ingredients with shea butter to deliver long-lasting moisture and protection. I made too much at first, so I shared it with friends. Their reactions were incredible, and they encouraged me to sell it. That is how Michelle’s Creations was born in 2014. A year later, I realized my “whipped shea butter lotion” was not lotion at all. It was body butter. Traditional lotions are water based and evaporate quickly, leaving skin dry again.
